Could Artificial Intelligence Keep You Out of Heaven?

Artificial Intelligence

Have you ever wondered what might have happened if another Eden critter popped out to warn Adam and Eve that the subtil serpent was lying to them? Obviously, God’s word wasn’t enough to keep them from buying into the sweet deal that slimy thing was selling.

Would they have listened to a voice that wanted them to refuse what sounded better than what God offered? If a word directly from God’s mouth isn’t enough, I doubt even the cuddliest Koala would have any influence.

The problem wasn’t which creature deceived Adam and Eve, but the bait it used.

For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.“—Philippians 2:21

Satan’s Last and Best Trick

You’re not crazy, the world IS rapidly changing. The most significant change is artificial intelligence. I’m convinced it’s one of Satan’s last tricks—and also the biggest.

I’m not calling folks who invented or consider using artificial intelligence serpents, but I am calling out the evil that they’re (naively or purposefully) selling.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.  And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. “—2 Corinthians 11:13-14

Who’s Pushing Artificial Intelligence?

We live in a culture:

  • that denies God’s creation of man and woman in favor of genders based on whim, confusion, or peer-pressure.
  • that believes that killing babies up until and even after the moment of birth is health care.
  • where science and fact apply to one group but not another; for one nation but not another.
  • that endorses drag shows for school children without wondering why drag queens want easy access to little kids.
  • that teaches children lies in public school. Lies about history, lies about biology, lies about the child’s own parents.
  • that produced a population that can’t or won’t pray because it’s too distracted or addicted to input, to busyness, to self-indulgence.

This same culture endorsing sin also advocates for artificial intelligence.

Distraction is the greatest temptation we face today. Honestly, I’m pretty solid on the AI, gender, and morality stuff, but I recognize the need to make more changes on the distraction thing. Once awareness arrives, it’s time to act.

Satan isn’t the only one ratcheting up the heat. The Holy Spirit is active and inspiring sons and daughters of the King to respond. And if not action, then to truth—but I’m not conceding that action isn’t a biggie.

So, what’s my problem with AI?

Artificial intelligence gives Satan the ability to deceive us with things we “see and hear” ourselves that are totally false.

AI is delusion, laziness, and greed. If you can’t write well, work harder on it. If you can’t make a good movie, work on it. If you can’t do whatever it is you want AI to do for you, then maybe you should be doing something else.

AI is cheese in the trap.

Whatever the intention of the inventors, this is evil.

For example:

Take the case of Brian Hood, mayor of Hepburn Shire town, north of Melbourne in Australia: He is considering suing OpenAI for defamation after his constituents started telling him that ChatGPT accused him of serving prison time for bribery, Reuters reported Wednesday. In fact, Hood claims that not only has he never been in prison, but he was the whistleblower who flagged the bribery in the first place.”—Fortune article

The following linked news story is about an AI generated RECORDING of a candidate who “said” some horrible things. Except, he didn’t.

VOTERS SHOULD BE SCARED…

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.“—2 Corinthians 11:3

Could AI keep you out of heaven?

This has been laid on my heart as a huge topic. Satan’s deception is why every one of us needs a Savior and a community of faith. Praise God we know the risen Lord. We also know the wages of sin.

AI itself won’t keep anyone out of heaven. But Genesis 3 makes it clear that falling for the Enemy’s deception can be the biggest sin of all.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

The product of Artificial Intelligence may not be the truth—but Satan (and his minions) will say it is.

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”—2 Peter 2:1

Guard yourself against the tsunami of delusion that’s coming your way.

[subtil servant—Genesis 3:1, KJV]

Are you winning or losing the spiritual war?

Fifteen Minutes Into Eternity is one of the most challenging books on the market today concerning the current condition of Christianity, the church, our nation, and how we got to where we are.”
