Evil uses whatever excuse is convenient to justify its actions. Satan is an equal opportunity deceiver.

What’s hot in the news? Murder of innocents in a Texas church and accusations of sexual misconduct. Whether you’re liberal, conservative, faithful or faithless — someone in your camp is being accused.

Sexual misconduct is ancient, so I won’t bore you with more on that.

Mass murder is another thing. What about the murder of twenty-six innocents on a routine Sunday morning at a little Baptist church in central Texas? That one stopped me in my tracks.

The only way to wrap my head around the tragedy is remembering one simple thing:

Every act is inspired by one of two spirits — the Holy Spirit or one who’s declared war on Him.

Cultural acceptance of violence, and normalizing — even embracing — evil blows human depravity into massive action.

Twisted souls no longer target one. They stalk many.

Considering what’s normal on social media and prime time television, shock value is getting harder to come by.

Evil gets BIGGER to entice.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:12

Violence in the Home

Decades ago I was married to a violent alcoholic. I’m a planner, not a fighter. The less I responded to his outbursts, the bigger and more dangerous they became. Until they became physical. And loaded guns entered the picture.

I didn’t satisfy his need to dominate. I didn’t give him ammunition to make me the guilty party.

He responded the way evil does.

A current FOX show, “Lucifer”, is about “the devil you love to hate.”
Movies don’t intimate one murder to shock the audience. They blow up crowds, showing every minute detail of physical trauma. And folks yawn.

What about “Californication”?
Criminal Minds.
Bloody video games.

Horror and sex are routine. Expected. Boring.

Children are indoctrinated early. With parental approval.

Evil Insists on Satisfaction

The Texas shooter didn’t get what he wanted, so he acted out. Repeatedly. Society teaches us that we should get what we want. We’re justified in removing anyone who prevents our self-actualization by whatever means necessary.

Of course, it does matter WHO seeks self — gratification. If you endorse evil in all it’s guises, you’re good to go. All who speak limitations are evil.

Standards and rules of conduct are intolerant.

Sexuality is blatant and everywhere. There is no shame. No limit. No morality.

Morality has become immoral.
Tolerance is intolerant.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. – John 8:44

Redefining Normal

Some say orange is the new black. Good is the new evil and evil the new good.

That’s the problem.
When murder is embraced as a sacrament (abortion), what do you expect?

Photos of dismembered baby parts fail to convict. Chattel. Product. Profit center.

Respect for life only extends to those we like. Those who agree with us.

That’s why some opined the Las Vegas massacre was acceptable. Because Country Western fans are Republican.

Shooting members of Congress on a ball diamond wasn’t all that bad — they were Republican.

Jesus Christ is being rejected across this nation.
The result is what you see on the news. Daily. Shockingly.

Sadly, not so shockingly anymore. Were you rendered speechless when you heard about the bloodbath in Sutherland Springs? Did you have to catch your breath?

This isn’t insane. It’s evil.
Evil normalized.
Evil paraded as entertainment.

The war between God and Satan will continue until Christ’s return.

Yahweh – the final Authority

Guilty parties refuse to submit to authority, to law and order applied equally to all, to limits on the freedom to behave badly, to total self-indulgence, to self-worship, to self-promotion.

My freedom ends where yours begins. The only possible way to put that simple thought into practice is through willing obedience to a higher power — to God.

How many people today are willing to submit to anything?

And so we have tragedy.

The war continues and you have to pick sides. God or Not God? You can’t ride the fence. It belongs to Satan.

You can’t ride the fence with impunity. No decision is always a decision. Discover the facts about the time we live in and events that brought us here:
